Beautiful Bali

Hey all.....just wanted to let the P's know that I am safe in Bali! We are so happy to be here. For those of you who have never been this place should be on your to do list! It has been a lot better luck for us here. We are staying at a great place right on the beach and it is so nice. We had free welcome party last night, with free drinks and snacks! If only all places we stayed at were like this. Already we have met so many great people and look forward to seeing more of the island! As far as the climate here. It is hot and humid...but it has been sunny, so that has been good for us! Every day we relax on the ocean and enjoy the cheap prices of everything! Most of the locals ride around on mopeds and we even saw a family of 4 on 1 moped. Mom and Dad, and in between the two of them one kid and one kid behind.....I was laughing so hard. The people everywhere are warm and everyone says good morning and is so ready to talk to you! Love It!!!! The best part though is the spa prices for an hour and a half couples massage it is 25 US dollars! Same for most of the spa extras....including facials and scrubs and all the good stuff! If you are looking for a cheap way to live it up...then Bali is the place! Joy and Mike you could have saved a lot of money on your honeymoon by coming here! We are not sure what activities we are going to partake in....but I will try and write more in the mornings or late nights.....the internet is not quick here! This is the third place I tried and I was told that those are the best times!!!! Talk to you more soon....there will be no pictures from Bali until I get to Singapore when there will be quicker internet! Love yous

Leaving for the third world

Hey everyone...I am now on the 24 hour countdown to Bali!!! Jayme will be in two countries in one day on his birthday...now how many people in the world can say that!!!! Not a bad way to celebrate turning 29 and the year countdown to 30! Not much new is happening with us...except that this part of the trip is going to be unlike anything we have ever experienced! I have been to the third world...but never to Asia.....a whole new continent for me! There will be more diving, and who knows what else! I will try and write and post pictures along the way! I have many more from Australia...but I have lost the edge on this country and haven't had the will with all the bad luck to take the time to burn them to CD's to post....Hopefully I will get my excitement back! I look forward to moving on and seeing things at a more quicker pace....and packing as much in as possible....Love to all, more from Bali...or Singapore!

No use crying over spilled milk....Times 2!!

Well....I am now down to my last week in Australia and to end my trip...I was given a going away present! This week my car was stolen! Can anyone believe my luck? I am not mad at loosing the car ( I hated the piece of shit)...and thank God that the very morning on the day it was stolen I had an instinct to remove anything of value from it. But it was going to be sold back in 10 days...what shit!!!! Now I have been trying to think of the meaning of why this would happen....and I hope that one day I will find the answer...maybe the car will be found before we leave and we will have some of the answers we have been looking for. The total loss of money for the buyback would have been 1400 Australian dollars. Plus we are going to have to pay to get back to Sydney now! Now this is the most amazing part of the mystery. I was doing laundry yesterday and I went to put my laundry in the drier and stuck to the bottom of the drier and stuck in a crack that you would only see if you stood on your tippy toes was a wad of cash! A green wad of cash( in Australia this means 100's......5's are pink, 10's are blue, and twenties are red, and 50's are yellow). I took it back to the room and counted the money...total equalling $1200 dollars....almost the total loss of the car! I looked several times by the washing machines for notes of missing money and checked with the reception before leaving, if anyone reported anything missing-both to no luck! This was a lot of money and I didn't want Karma coming back to me, by not doing the right thing....Now I would love to hear what anyone makes of this strange luck.....were my many prayers answered? I have had such a strange week and never have I found that much money in my life! I am still in shock! Karma has never came back to me that quick....thanks to my family for their prayers....I believe they helped!

More pictures from Australia!

Well we only have about 2 weeks left and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. So I thought before I leave I better get some of those pictures up...before I loose the will....there are so many pictures from the 3 months....but many will have to wait till I get home....I hope these will do for now! I would love to hear from any and all!

To give everyone an idea of how naive I was coming here for 3 months and thinking I could see the whole country. This really puts it into perspective of how big a country Australia really is! I guess I will have to come back!

Our favorite Australia piece of crapper....that many of you have heard such wonderful things about. Turns out she did us good after all........even so I will be happy to be rid of her....and I have never felt that way about any car I have owned!

New Year's Eve 2005 Sydney Harbour Bridge! We got there early for a great spot. The water and the bridge was in front of us, the city was to our left, and the Opera House was to our Right! It was a truely rememorable day!

New Year's Eve 2005 Sydney Harbour!

Jayme and I on the River with Melbourne city behind us. This is where we spent Australia Day (their version of July 4th) It was really hot that day and the Austalian Open tennis tournament was going on right behind us. Some of the Commonwealth Games tournaments will talk place right behind us on the river in just a week.
Jayme and I on top of Mt. Kusciuizko (2,228 meters).....Australia's highest point! It was an easy hike....and it was great to be standing on the roof of Australia!

Surfer surfing the waves at Bell's Beach!

Famous Bell's Beach in Victoria. Famous surf beach where Rip Curl Pro surf competition is held every year!

The 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road. This is one of the major sites of Australia and I have to admit it was quite spectacular. We were lucky, after it raining most of the day, that it cleared up just for sunset! If the flies weren't so annoying it would have been even better!

One of our first nice sunsets! We had been there for almost a month before being in an area where we could enjoy one! Quite a difference from New Zealnad where we saw the sunset every night!

Sulfur Crested Coccatou. These birds are very vocal and found quite abundantly. I even saw one on a roof. It took some getting used to, knowing that these birds are not pets here and many colored birds are a common thing here! I don't think they know how lucky they are to have birds of such beauty always near!

Picture of a Black swan at sunset on the inlet at Lakes entrance in Southern Victoria! These swans are quite common and mean if approached!

Underwater Pictures from The Great Barrier Reef!

I was really dissappointed with the quality of these pictures, I think I might have to dabble in some underwater camera photography equipment, when I get back to the states and some more money!

This one was in New Zealand in the Poor Knights Islands! We had to have much bigger wet suits with hoods beacuse the water was so cold! This is the only one of us together because we were diving with a guide!

This was a giant anemone and Nemo was inside and family too! I guess he made it home! This thing was actually purple....and so beautiful....we got lost finding this thing and had to do a sneak peak up to the surface to get back to the boat.....good thing too, beacuse were opposite of where we were supposed to be!

Picture of me in the Great Barrier Reef behind a Giant Clam. This thing was so beautiful and filled with color, unfortunately....the color doesn't show at depth without a flash!

Those cheap underwater cameras never due the ocean justice! This is Jayme in the Great Barrier Reef!
